COURSE OVERVIEW
<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>The aim of this course is to introduce the concept of <\/span>\u2018Trigger Point Dry Needling\u2019<\/span><\/b> to clinicians and develop relevant practical and clinical reasoning skills. The curriculum content covers <\/span>a).<\/span><\/b> Physiology of trigger points & their referral patterns, <\/span>b).<\/span><\/b> Indications & Contraindications of needling, <\/span>c).<\/span><\/b> General Practice Guidelines & Safety aspects of needling, <\/span>d).<\/span><\/b> Trigger point palpation & identification skills, <\/span>e).<\/span><\/b>Clinical Surface Anatomy, <\/span>f).<\/span><\/b> Various needling techniques, <\/span>g).<\/span><\/b> Patient selection, education & prior consent, <\/span>h).<\/span><\/b> Pre-needling preparation, post-needling care and management of adverse events, <\/span>i).<\/span><\/b>Integrated therapeutic approach. <\/span><\/p>Participants in the course are guided through brief overview of regional anatomy to augment needling skills.
